Environmental Protection Award
The Taipei City Environmental Protection Bureau has recognised ISS Taiwan for its efforts in environmental responsibility.
Country Manager of ISS Taiwan, Peter Trampe, said: "ISS has been devoted to environmental protection and responsibility for a long time, so we are honoured to receive recognition through this award. Social and environmental responsibility are inculcated values in our company that we continuously strive to embed in our services."
The Taipei City Environmental Protection Bureau developed the award to encourage recycling and environmental responsibility among facility service companies and Taiwan citizens. The primary point of evaluation of the facility management companies were their ability to initiate recycling procedures at the facilities they operate.
Liu Ming Long, director of the Environmental Protection Bureau, said: "Residential complexes are at the forefront of recycling, which is why it is so pivotal for facility management companies to positively influence residents to become greener, and to strengthen the awareness about the importance of recycling."
The Taipei City Environmental Protection Bureau has recognised ISS Taiwan for its efforts in environmental responsibility with one of the country's first ever Environmental Protection awards which were launched earlier this year.
ISS Taiwan received the award as a result of its commitment and active engagement in recycling and waste management at facilities under its management.
The company was effective in assisting residential facilities with monthly reporting of the amount of recycled material (such as paper, plastics, and cardboard) on the Environmental Protection Bureau's website.
