Coveted RoSPA Health & Safety Awards for Aramark-Offshore
The RoSPA Awards scheme, which receives entries from organisations around the world, recognises achievement in health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement. They offer organisations a prime opportunity to prove their on-going commitment to raising health and safety standards. The longevity and undisputed reputation of RoSPA and the Awards scheme is just one of the key reasons it has been recognising and celebrating excellence in safety performance longer than any other in the industry.
Aramark - Offshore, which is based in Aberdeen in Scotland, swept the boards at the event taking home the title of 'Winner of the Hotel & Catering Industry Sector' and were crowned winners of the RoSPA Scotland Trophy. This trophy is presented annually to recognise the highest standard of health and safety management and performance by an organisation based in or operating in Scotland.
Andrew Thomson, Managing Director Offshore, Aramark, said: "Safety is embedded as a core Aramark value and we are committed to promoting and enhancing workplace safety. The unique conditions on oil rigs or gas platforms demand an exemplary approach to safety management.
"We are extremely proud that Aramark - Offshore was awarded winner of both the Hotel & Catering Sector and the RoSPA Scotland Trophy which speaks volumes about our approach to service delivery in offshore environments. Both awards highlight our continuous commitment in achieving highest standards of health and safety and our zero tolerance for unnecessary risk."
Julia Small, RoSPA's Head of Qualifications, Awards and Events, said: "The RoSPA Awards are the most highly-respected in the health and safety arena, with almost 2,000 entrants every year, and allow organisations to prove excellence in the workplace, demonstrating a commitment to the wellbeing of not only employees but all those who interact with it."

About Aramark-Offshore
Since the 1970s, Aramark Offshore has been at the forefront of providing 'hotel' services to oil and gas installations around the world. These services range from 'soft' areas such as providing administrative and accommodation facilities, to 'harder' areas such as maintaining the accommodation; as well as being able to convert and refurbish them.
The focus of the company is mainly on the North Sea installations, although, in 2002 Aramark was awarded a contract with the Caspian Drilling Company for the service of two rigs in Azerbaijan, the Dada Gorgund and the Istiglal, which made the company the dominant market leader in this geographical area.
