STRABAG PFS Awarded Deutsche Flugsicherung Air Traffic Control Facility Contract

STRABAG PFS has partnered with DFS since 2013, and the new contract extends the number of properties under management for the air traffic control systems operator across Germany to 165.

The Karlsruhe site consists of a control centre with a reception building and annexes, as well as several communication facility locations.

Under the agreement, STRABAG PFS will assume round-the-clock responsibility for operational, maintenance and technology systems support and on-call availability of staff.

Commenting on the award, Dirk Brandt, head of STRABAG PFS's Technical Facility Management department, said:

"DFS is a long-standing and very technologically demanding customer, and we will now be managing the vast majority of DFS's locations in Germany.

"Our objective is to ensure air-traffic control operations and technologies operate smoothly."
