Atalian Servest has been awarded a three-year contract worth £250,000 annually to maintain fire alarm and associated life safety systems at the University of Edinburgh.
The university occupies more than 250 buildings that include modern as well as Listed premises within the historic City of Edinburgh.
These include lecture theatres, libraries, seminar buildings and student and family accommodation.
The contract also covers the maintenance of disabled person refuge communication systems and remote monitoring telephone line systems.
Founded in 1583, the University of Edinburgh is the sixth-oldest university in the English speaking world and offers undergraduate degree programmes, and postgraduate taught and research programmes to more than 14,000 students.
It is recognised globally for its research, development and high-quality teaching.
Announcing the contract award, Heather Fleming, the university's Building Services Engineer, said:
