The Building Control Industry Association (BCIA) has shortlisted Tony Smith of Schneider Electric as a finalist for its Engineer of the Year award.
Tony is being recognised for his vital role in a number of education, manufacturing and government projects in South Wales.
He has consistently helped customers to reduce their energy usage and environmental impact, most notably at Swansea University, where 18,000 students work across 37 buildings.
BCIA Awards recognise innovation, product development, project delivery and great training in the building control sector.
The 2020 Awards will be held on on the 30th of April at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.
The Engineer of the year award is open to those who are driving innovation in engineering services business.
The winner must have demonstrated an unparalleled capability, service and responsibility to clients, the supply chain and to staff.
