Supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities with Covid Security

Aramark will donate face masks to Ronald McDonald House locations across the United States under a new charity initiative launched today.

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation that creates, finds, and supports programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and their families.

Through a global network of over 260 Chapters in 65 countries and regions, RMHC enables, facilitates and supports family-centered care through three core programs: The Ronald McDonald House, the Ronald McDonald Family Room and the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. RMHC programs help families with ill or injured children stay together and near leading hospitals and health care services worldwide, ensuring they have access to the medical care their child needs while fully supported and actively involved in their child’s care.

Under the terms of the charitable campaign, the company has agreed to donate three seven inch 3-ply non-medical disposal masks to Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Chapters every time a customer purchases one of its non-medical three-pack washable mask packs.

Aramark is kicking-off the campaign with a donation of 50,000 disposable face masks which will be distributed to 50 RMHC Chapters, and aims to distribute a maximum of five million masks by the time the campaign ends on 14 December, 2021.

Brad Drummond, COO of Aramark Uniform and Refreshment Services, explains:

"We are proud to support Ronald McDonald House Charities with this program as they continue to provide crucial resources and support to families with ill or injured children,”“It is our hope, during these challenging times, that our partnership and this donation help provide an even more comforting environment for Ronald McDonald House visitors and families utilizing their services."

"On behalf of Ronald McDonald House Charities, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to Aramark for their continued support of our mission and the millions of children and families we serve each year."

Kelly Dolan, RMHC President, adds: "This in-kind donation comes at a time of immense need for our Chapters and we are grateful to be included in this tremendous initiative."

Aramark has a long history of supporting RMHC through its annual Aramark Building Community Day which sets time aside for company employees to assist nonprofit community partners with service projects or donations.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic - and in keeping with its 84-year history of answering the call for assistance in times of need, Aramark has been working harder than ever to provide food and resources to communities feeling the impact.

During the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic, the company redeployed its Uniform Services division production lines to manufacture essential personal protective equipment (PPE) needed during the public health crisis, with a focus on helping the heroes working in hospitals and in other critical roles across the United States.

In the summer of 2020, Aramark additionally donated 250,000 protective face masks to American Red Cross staff involved with blood drives, and 25,000 cloth masks to the Alliance for Strong Families and Communities.
