The British Renewable Energy Awards have recognised Qvantum, the Swedish manufacturer of an 'ultra-compact' heat pump design, with an Innovation Award.
Qvantum was "highly commended" for its ultra-compact 6 kW heat pump for apartments which offers heating, hot water, and cooling capabilities while being small enough to fit under a kitchen sink.
The awards, hosted by REA (The Association for Renewable Energy & Clean Technology), are considered the most prestigious clean tech event in the United Kingdom.
Qvantum's heat pump has already received two international innovation awards and aims to revolutionise the way European cities are heated.
With a history of manufacturing bespoke heat pumps, Qvantum recently secured €42 million in investment and plans to start large-scale production in Sweden soon.
