Mall of the Emirates has achieved the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum certification, the highest level in the LEED green building rating system.
The certification validates sustainability measures that have been implemented at the world's largest retail destination which is owned and operated by the Majid Al Futtaim group supported by Veolia's regional energy services subsidiary, Enova.
In 2021 the group achieved LEED Platinum certification for the design and construction of the Mall of Oman - another milestone in the group's goal of becoming Net Positive in carbon and water by 2040.
