Foodservice Cateys for Eurest

Eurest has received four awards at this year's Foodservice Cateys which celebrate and recognise the people working tirelessly to make sure their business delivers an exceptional service day in, day out.

Part of Compass Group UK & Ireland, Eurest is dedicated to enhancing the workplace experience for a diverse range of businesses, with an array of household names including Royal Mail and Porsche among its client base.

The company received a Front of House Team of the Year award with Culinary Lead, Gemma Evans-Hurley, being crowned 'Chef of the Year' and Mark Price named as 'Chef Manager of the Year'.

Eurest also picked up the coveted CSER Award for the third year in succession.

Praised for its dedication to sustainability, Eurest has some of the most ambitious goals in the sector, committed to achieving Net Zero by the end of 2030, halving food waste by 2025 and 60% plant-based menus by the end of 2024.

The Front of House award was presented to Eurest’s catering team for its first-rate service at The Porsche Experience where the team delivers a fine-dining food offer for VIP guests and large-scale launch events.

Chef of the Year winner Gemma Evans-Hurley was commended for launching Compass Group’s Women in Food Initiative which aims to tackle the industry’s shortage of female chefs, building a community of nearly 300 from just six in 2021.

Chef Manager of the Year Mark Price was praised for his success overseeing the food offer at Brakes (a Sysco company), a leading wholesaler of food which operates 24/7 serving drivers on tight deadlines.

The winners of this year’s Foodservice Cateys were announced at a glittering ceremony held on Friday 13 October at the Royal Lancaster London hotel.

The Foodservice Cateys spotlight the hardworking individuals dedicated to serving up excellence day in, day out.

Nominated by our peers, evaluated by top food industry experts.

It doesn't get more special than this.

“Nothing gives me more joy that to see our people recognised for their talents and dedication to delivering the very best for our clients and their people.”

“To win the CSER award for the third year in a row is also very special and is testament to the genuine care and passion of our team who are always thinking about how they can do more.

“Working in the food industry means that we are in a position of influence when it comes to the health and wellbeing of people and the planet.

We take our responsibility very seriously and if we can help to educate and empower, then that’s what we’ll do.”
