Mitie Welcomes 60 New Apprentices
Mitie's #SignupSkillup programme has recruited 60 new facilities management apprentices from all over the UK.
The new recruits have joined a range of teams across the business and cover a broad variety of roles, including electrical and building services, project management, quantity surveying, business administration, and customer service.
As a recognised Top 100 Apprenticeship Employer, the group is committed to supporting its colleagues' development and attracting new talent through apprenticeships. The business recently joined the 5% Club, a group of organisations dedicated to ensuring 5 per cent of their workforce is engaged in 'earn and learn' positions including apprenticeships and training schemes.

The 60 new recruits join the 1,100 apprentices already in Mitie's business, including a number of learners in Mitie Security who are following the recently launched Professional Security Operative (PSO) Level 2 Apprenticeship programme.
Mitie also provides all apprentices with membership to the Association of Apprentices (AoA), a national organisation that helps apprentices to connect, learn, and fulfil their potential.
As members of the AoA, learners have opportunities to communicate and connect with fellow members, build their professional networks, access guidance and career advice, as well as access support with life skills, mental health, and developing ‘soft skills’ such as teamwork, time management, and problem solving.
As a Top 100 Apprenticeship Employer and member of the 5% club, we’re committed to continue expanding our apprenticeship programmes and nurturing the talent of the future.
