Lexington Reception Services, the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM) and Lloyd’s have given a behind-the-scenes tour of the iconic building in the City of London to raise awareness of careers in facilities management.
Organised by IWFM's Rising FMs Network, and sponsored by Lexington Catering Ltd, the event aimed to introduce young minds to the dynamic opportunities within the sector.
Darren Cox, Senior Facilities & Stakeholder Manager Corporate Real Estate at Lloyd’s, explains: “Recruiting young people into the industry is close to my heart.
FM offers so many varied career opportunities and I want to make sure that young people have the same chances I had.”
Led by the Liveried Waiters of Lloyd’s, who are part of the Lexington Reception Services Team, participants gained insights into the historic significance of the building.
The rising stars of the FM world got to know their peers while networking and enjoying some fantastic food provided by chefs from Lexington Catering.
Designed for newcomers to the FM world, the tour catered to individuals aged 18-35 who have recently entered the industry or undergone re-training.
