Delaware North Culinarians Achieve ProChef I Certification
Chef mentors from Delaware North’s Culinary & Hospitality Council have successfully completed the Culinary Institute of America's intensive ProChef I exam program.
Employed at well-known sports venues, a national park, an urban hotel and Walt Disney World Resort, the participating chefs had previously participated in the hospitality company's Culinary & Hospitality Excellence for Future Success (CHEFS)® initiative.
Six chef candidates earned their ProChef I certifications at a three-day practical assessment exercise last month:
“The ProChef certification is a marker of excellence in the culinary field and is recognized for its rigorous standards and comprehensive evaluation of culinary skills,” explains Steve Eden, director of Delaware North’s Culinary & Hospitality Council.
