Industrial outdoor storage provider Alterra IOS has acquired a twelfth site in the Chicagoland area.
Located at 216 W Diversey Avenue in Elmhurst, the 2.8-acre property includes 35,000 square feet of warehousing space, designated office space, and is fully leased to a regional leader in the heavy-duty truck sector.
Sitting just 10 miles southwest of Chicago O’Hare International Airport, the location offers easy access to Chicago and the greater Midwest through key highways and airports, with direct connectivity to I-290, I-294, and Route 20.

Alterra operates 390 properties across the United States and was the largest company in the industrial outdoor storage (IOS) sector nationally as of Q3 2025.
The company's investment strategy is focused on acquiring prime IOS locations within dense, infill logistics and transportation gateways, ensuring proximity to critical infrastructure and end-users.
