The Northern Infant and Junior School in Fareham, Hampshire, has improved its outdoor space by installing an allotment area with support from Pye Homes.
Earlier this year, Pye Homes donated £1,000 to the local Hampshire school to fund improvements towards the Junior School site’s.
That contribution has now helped bring to life a newly-designed allotment area with 16 planters and new recycling bins, creating a clean and sustainable space for eight of the school’s classes to learn and grow.

School operator, The Northern Federation, adds: “We are delighted that our allotment and outdoor space is now complete and is already being enjoyed by our pupils at the start of the school year.
The project coincides with Pye Homes’ introduction of the Welborne Garden Village development in Fareham, Hampshire, alongside CG Fry & Son and Thakeham Homes, just a short distance from the school.
With the first homes already underway, Welborne will blend traditional architecture with modern sustainability principles, creating a thriving community with green spaces, schools, shops, and amenities.
The show homes by Pye will be available to view this autumn.
