Duffy who is currently CEO of US logistics company OnTrac will join the company on 16th February as CEO Designate, with Ransom continuing in his current role to ensure a smooth transition ahead of the company's AGM on 7th May.

A US citizen, Duffy will be based in North America and brings more than 25 years of leadership experience with large US businesses across B2B and B2C industries. Throughout his career, he has delivered successful business transformations through initiatives to improve the customer experience, employee engagement and financial returns. Duffy currently serves as a board member of Republic Services, Inc., a publicly listed waste management company with a market capitalisation of US $65bn, where he is a member of both the Audit and Sustainability & Corporate Responsibility committees. He is also on the Board for FleetPride and will step down from this role when he joins Rentokil Initial.

He holds a bachelor's degree in operations research and a master's degree in transportation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

We have built the world's largest Pest Control business, which, together with our global Hygiene and Wellbeing business, are a platform with the scale and capabilities to drive future growth. I am immensely proud of what we've accomplished, and I look forward to handing the baton over to Mike and working closely with him to ensure a smooth transition."
