Tevin Tobun, CEO of Gate Ventures, has been named as one of the 100 most influential Black Britons for a third time in a list that includes Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton, footballer Marcus Rashford, actor Michaela Coel, and Windrush lawyer Jacqueline McKenzie.
Tobun, the only representative of the hospitality sector to be included in The Powerlist 2021, launched The Tobun Foundation which offers educational support to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds earlier this year.
His business, which trades as "GV Group", is a multi-sector company focusing on food logistics within the education, social, healthcare, business and industry, and retail sectors.
Tobun is also a council member at The Open University, previously sat on the board of Middlesex University, and is a lifetime patron of hospital charity Springboard.
Additionally, he chairs Inspirational You, which provides guidance to people of BAME background starting out in business through a range of initiatives, such as work experience, mentoring and business workshops.
