Partnership to Support UK Covid-19 Express Testing

ABM has partnered with Cignpost Diagnostics to provide 250 trained team members to service the manpower needs at COVID-19 testing sites at Heathrow, Gatwick and Edinburgh airports.

The partnership will draw on the flexible staffing expertise of ABM's Blackjack Promotions business to provide an agile manpower resource.

With undeniable challenges faced by the aviation industry, the company's talented pool of people will help in the fight against COVID-19 - and to retain jobs.

Services provided by the highly trained team include carrying out swab tests, car park marshalling and on-site administration which includes checking samples are collected correctly and sent to laboratories efficiently and safely.

In addition, the contract also includes some office-based roles which oversee the Fit to Fly certification process.

The 250 strong team have undergone a rigorous training process, including vetting.

Delivered in partnership with Cignpost at ABM Aviation headquarters, the training is role specific and includes safe practice of administering the test, working safely and ensuring customers are protected and understand the test process.

Blackjack Promotions’ dynamic staffing expertise is supported by a digital CMS system which automates the entire process from candidate application all the way through to online interview and shift allocation.

As well as increasing the speed of team mobilisation, it also ensures all relevant compliance is covered.
