Lorne Stewart Facilities Reports Strong Start to 2023

Lorne Stewart Facilities has reported a positive start to 2023 with the award of four new hard services contracts and several contract extensions.

New clients of the facility services subsidiary of UK engineering group Lorne Stewart plc, include the corporate office of a housing group, and organisations operating in the healthcare, rail and education sectors, with contracts totalling around £9 million.

The company also reports extending a partnership with a local authority customer that dates from 2020.

Although the majority of contracts relate to the provision of hard services, including mechanical and electrical (M&E) maintenance and energy services, the facility services provider will be delivering cleaning and catering services in healthcare environments.

Mark Sutcliffe, CEO, emphasises the resilience of the UK's FM sector and highlights the positive social impact of a policy of employing individuals from local communities within delivery teams.

He also says Lorne Stewart Facilities will be rolling out new energy management and low carbon technology solutions, and an asset management offering in the second half of 2023.
