Elevating Culinary Excellence

BM Caterers has introduced new roles to bolster the development of its food and operations, promoting Daryll Young as Head of Chef Development and Innovation and Phil Leicester as Head of Culinary Sales and Retention.

In his new role, Young will concentrate on advancing the catering company's food offerings, staying abreast of food trends, and providing training and guidance to BM's chef teams to facilitate this progress.

Leicester, on the other hand, will focus on business growth and client retention, ensuring BM fulfils its ambitions and commitments.

Pete Redman, BM chef director, expresses his appreciation for Young and Leicester's loyalty and contributions to the company's success.

He says Young's role in developing global breakfast, vitality, and food-to-go concepts and establishing innovation away-days for team members and monthly supplier visits has been critical to the company's growth.

Leicester, on the other hand, played a major role in acquiring new business, organising client and consultant networking events, and contributing to one of the best client retention rates in the industry.

We have so many talented chefs at BM, and I am excited to have even more opportunities to work with them on their own personal growth

Both appointees have been with BM for more than eight years and will report directly to Pete Redman, Chef Director.

Young says: "My new role still centres around my passion for food, while also giving me more space to try new things and support the development of my colleagues.

Leicester adds: "Every day is different in my role with BM – one day I could be creating and presenting menus for prospective new clients, another could be spent visiting our teams and offering onsite support.

It’s my favourite thing about what I do, and I’m really looking forward to continuing to embrace the variety of challenges each new day brings and working with the teams to develop new concepts and ideas that we can offer our ever-growing portfolio of clientele."
