Two-in-One Professional Soundbar for Philips MediaSuite TVs
PPDS has launched the HAL5023 Professional Soundbar featuring a built-in subwoofer for Philips MediaSuite TVs installed in hotels.
Developed in collaboration with TP Vision's Philips sound team, the solution boasts a sleek and stylish trapezoid design measuring W70 x D12 x H7cm, with a 2.1 channel setup delivering an output power of 200 W max / 100 W RMS (10% THD).
The integrated subwoofer further enriches audio to provide a fully immersive guest experience.
A distinguishing feature of this soundbar is its back-end control system which permits customised configurations, including volume limits, to ensure neighbouring hotel rooms are unaffected by any sound.
The units can be freestanding or wall-mounted (with brackets provided as standard).
According to the company the setup menu on Philips MediaSuite TVs streamlines configuration, enabling efficient replication of settings across the entire TV fleet through PPDS CMND, thus saving valuable installation time and resources.
Simplifying the user experience, the Philips Professional Soundbar can be managed using the standard Philips MediaSuite TV remote.
Moreover, it functions as a premium speaker system, granting guests the opportunity to enjoy their preferred music, podcasts, and radio stations via compatible apps and accounts on their personal devices, either through Bluetooth or Philips MediaSuite's integrated Chromecast technology.
In line with the global distributor of Philips-branded professional display solutions commitment to cable-free presentation, the Philips Professional Soundbar includes a custom-designed power cable adapter.
... [W]e've revolutionised the way people can access and enjoy their favourite movies and shows on the road.
The innovative feature allows both the soundbar and TV to be powered via a single socket, streamlining the installation process.
Additionally, an anti-theft cable is included to deter unauthorised removal of the device.
Jeroen Verhaeghe, Global Business Development Director for Hospitality, says, "Philips MediaSuite was designed to enhance and, in many aspects, reinvent the hotel room experience, accommodating all the features and services guests are accustomed to in their own homes, within the hotel room.
"With a long-term commitment to offering Chromecast built-in™ technology, together with unrivalled relationships with streaming giants, such as Netflix, we've revolutionised the way people can access and enjoy their favourite movies and shows on the road.
Today, we're providing the opportunity for hoteliers to take that experience to the next level, with the Philips Professional Soundbar."
Jan van Hecke, Global Product Manager for Professional TVs, adds: "With today's announcement, the industry's most advanced professional TV solution has just been given the perfect upgrade with even greater, more powerful sounding audio.
With Philips Professional Soundbar, the in-room experience, for many, can now surpass that enjoyed at home, changing guests' perceptions of hotels, and helping to ensure positive reviews and repeat business."
The Philips Professional Soundbar will be available in warehouses in the fourth quarter of 2023.
