RoRo Shipping Company Expands at Southampton Harbourfront Location
Global Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) shipping specialist NMT Shipping has taken a further 4,184 square feet of space at RO Group's Waterside Place development in Southampton.
The development at 3 and 5 Waterside Place on Southampton’s harbourfront affords excellent views of the Solent. The buildings are immediately adjacent to the A33, which is the main thoroughfare through the city, providing road access to the M27 and the M3.
It forms part of Town Quay, a beacon of civic pride for the city and an established commercial waterfront scheme which incorporates offices, retail units and the passenger terminal for the Isle of Wight ferry. Nearby office occupiers include P&O Carnival (headquarters), PwC and Lloyds Bank.
David Kershaw, Group Real Estate Director, RO Real Estatem says: “We are extremely proud to have let further space to NMT Shipping and are heartened by the company’s increased commitment to our flagship harbourfront development; to Southampton, an important international shipping node; and to the United Kingdom during a period of upheaval in and rapid changes to global trade.”
NMT finds itself in the company of a variety of other well-known occupiers on the wider estate including the NHS, Faststream Recruitment; and the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing, and Communities.
Founded in 1999, NMT Shipping is a highly specialised and leading global RoRo shipping and logistics company headquartered in the Netherlands.
