ISS Strengthens Social Value Strategy
ISS UK and Ireland has partnered with Social Value Portal.
The portal, which describes itself as a social impact company with a mission to engage, enable and empower people and organisations to pursue 'social, economic and environmental wellbeing', publishes a Social Value 101 Guide and offers a dedicated framework for supporting organisations with their social journey.
As part of the collaboration, ISS will quantify and report the social value it generates, underlining its commitments to 'people, places and planet — from the way we work and the way we hire talent to the ways we engage with colleagues, clients and the communities where we work'.
The platform prevents ‘greenwashing’ and sets tangible, actionable targets bringing rigour to the way organisations measure, manage and report on social value.
It also helps them evidence how they, and their suppliers, are making a difference in communities.
Our partnership with Social Value Portal enables us to not only gauge the positive effects we have as an organisation but do so with complete transparency …
Anna Farquharson, Head of Social Value for ISS UK & Ireland, comments: “ISS embeds social value into the way we work, from hiring new talent to how we engage with our colleagues and communities.
"Our partnership with Social Value Portal enables us to not only gauge the positive effects we have as an organisation but do so with complete transparency, helping us manage performance and drive improvements across our business.”
Guy Battle, Social Value Portal CEO, adds: “Social Value Portal is delighted to be partnering with ISS; It’s a clear indication of the importance ISS associates with affecting positive change."
