Protecting Life Safety and the Environment Inclusively
Life collection, a new range of environmentally responsible hi-visibility garments from Pulsar, is designed with circularity as well as inclusivity in mind.
Developed with Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certified fabrics and materials, the clothing range has launched with 12 hi-visibility, high performance garments including a reversible puffer jacket, a stretch combat trouser, moisture wicking polo shirts, insulated parkas and a brand-new breathable Class 4 waterproof shell jacket and over trouser - each available in yellow and orange and conforming to EN ISO 20471 design requirements.
Working closely with branded textile suppliers and collaborating with globally recognised initiatives such as Textiles 2030, Pulsar aims to address circular design in workwear clothing by developing longer-lasting, responsible garments that are suitable for recycling at the end of their life cycle.
Taking a circular approach, each garment in the Life collection utilises fully sustainable GRS recycled polyester and nominated recycled linings, trims and Bluesign® approved treatments, with high wear garments certified for up to 50 washes and all fabric and reflective tape tested to 25 washes.
Debbie Huntley, sustainability manager, says: “From the beginning of the development process there have been two key focus areas with the Life collection - the wearer and our planet.
Our latest range of hi-visibility garments features the practical, performance-lead design that Pulsar is renowned for, and by working from a more circular viewpoint and investigating garment construction methods and the use of recycled and organic fibres, we’re able to support the developing needs of the environment and our customers with our most ambitious and responsible workwear range yet.”
