BBC Awards 5-year IFM Contract

Public service broadcaster the BBC has selected EMCOR UK for a five-year integrated facilities management (IFM) contract.

The journey to the award began two years ago, with EMCOR UK emerging as the successful bidder following a competitive tender process.

The facility services provider has committed to deliver business-critical services to support the broadcaster's current and future estates strategy, and help ensure seamless broadcast continuity while fostering industry-leading work environments.

The BBC sought an FM partner who could bring together management excellence and delivery alongside a deep-rooted culture of collaboration, authenticity and transparency, and EMCOR UK's offering brings experts from across the business with data insights to drive change and innovation.

Its Insight Intelligence and Asset Dynamics services will further support service deliver underpinned by the service provider's status as the first FM company globally to achieve the ISO 44001 standard for collaborative business relationships.

The contract, set to commence in early 2025, will cover more than 100 buildings across the UK and Northen Ireland, including London Broadcasting House, Media City Salford, Central Square Cardiff, Broadcasting House Belfast and Glasgow Pacific Quay.

EMCOR UK’s 700+ strong BBC team will deliver a comprehensive suite of services under an integrated model, including building engineering, cleaning, waste management, landscaping and pest control, all of which support an inspirational workplace experience.
