Crown Workspace UK&I has secured the Green World Champion title in the Service Industries: Carbon Reduction category at the 2025 Green World Awards.
The win acknowledges the company’s circular economy approach to workplace transformation.
Presented at a ceremony in Auckland, New Zealand on 12th May, the award further supports Crown Workspace’s credentials as a sustainable building operator following the award of an International Green Apple Environment Award at Kensington Palace last December – where it stood out amongst over 1,200 global nominations.
The latest win celebrates the 'Crown Circulate; service – a comprehensive framework that keeps workplace assets in continuous use rather than sending them to landfill.
Since 2015, this approach has saved over 17,000 tonnes of CO2 and generated £1.9 million in social value through furniture remanufacturing, IT reconditioning and community donations.

The Green World Awards, organised by The Green Organisation, represent one of the world’s most prestigious environmental recognition campaigns.
The independent judging panel particularly highlighted Crown Workspace’s measurable impact, noting how the company has ‘transformed workplace services’ through its circular economy initiatives.
Crown Circulate operates through six key principles: reevaluate, renew, resell and rebuy, redistribute, recycle and report.

These principles provide clients with a complete roadmap for sustainable workplace management.
The model has proven so successful that Crown Workspace offices worldwide are adopting it, with Singapore recently opening its own Renew Centre to deliver circular solutions across Asia-Pacific.
Through its London-based Renew Centre, Crown Workspace remanufactured and refurbished 20,000 items of furniture in 2024 alone, saving 873 tonnes of CO2.
The company’s IT reconditioning facility processed 34,000 devices in 2023, preventing 350 tonnes of equipment from becoming waste whilst ensuring secure data wiping for clients.
The Giving Back Project, Crown’s donation initiative, connects surplus workplace assets with over 650 charity, school and social enterprise partners.
Last year, this enabled 5,800 items to find new homes in communities that need them most.
Crown Workplace has also been invited to join the Green World Ambassadors programme which will feature its award-winning approach in The Green Book, an internationally recognised reference guide for environmental best practices, allowing other organisations globally to learn from its success.
