Serving Coffee with Purpose

ISS UK & Ireland has announced a three-year partnership between its Unity Coffee brand, Noje's community interest company Social Impact Coffee and electric clean-air coffee roastery the London Coffee Factory to eliminate emissions produced by traditional coffee roasting processes.

Located at the historic 120-year-old Bottle Factory in Peckham, the London Coffee Factory roast on two state-of-the-art, electric induction roasters with carbon filtration for ultra-low emissions, all powered by renewable energy.

Alongside the new roastery, Social Impact Coffee, will invest 65 per cent of profits into community projects, giving a meaningful purpose to every cup served.

ISS will deliver premium, ethically sourced coffee to more than 50 customer sites across London.

The initiative underscores ISS’s commitments both to creating social value as well as providing the freshest, highest quality coffee experience for customers through its Unity Coffee brand.

Hannah Hughes, Marketing & Retail Concept Director at ISS UK & Ireland, says: “We’re delighted to be partnering with The London Coffee Factory and Social Impact Coffee CIC, a collaboration that brings together premium, low-carbon coffee which contributes directly to supporting impactful social initiatives.

"As a leader in workplace experience, this collaboration perfectly aligns with our mission to provide innovative, sustainable and socially responsible offerings that meet the evolving needs of our customers.”

Adrian Evans, Founder of Social Impact Coffee CIC, adds: "Our goal has always been to roast coffee that matters.

Our mission extends beyond simply brewing a great cup; we aim to create meaningful opportunities for individuals and communities that are often overlooked and marginalised in the coffee supply chain.

We are committed to producing coffee that not only delights the palate with its rich flavours and exceptional quality but also serves a higher purpose.

“By sourcing our beans from dedicated farmers who practice sustainable and ethical farming, we ensure that they receive fair compensation for their hard work, empowering them to improve their livelihoods and invest in their futures.

We believe that coffee can be a powerful tool for social change.

“Partnering with ISS will enable us to amplify our impact even further.

Together, we can enhance our outreach, improve our supply chain practices, and ultimately create a ripple effect of positive change that extends far beyond the coffee cup."
