National Award for NHS Training Programme

Croma Vigilant are honoured to have been selected as the recipients of the "Security Training Initiative of the Year" award at this year's Security Excellence Awards. The award which attracted significant competition, recognises the company's work with the UK's National Health Service (NHS) - and its success in promoting best practice in security management (the key criterion considered by the awarding panel), in particular.

The panel singled out Croma Vigilant's bespoke Patient Care Training Programme as an excellent example of a tailored training package that equips security personnel with the skills necessary for deployment within the NHS on both security and "Bedwatch" duty.

Bedwatch duty has previously only been considered viable when security officers are assisted by healthcare professionals. The company's training initiative collates and verifies key elements requred for the professional care of patients who are vulnerable or aggressive, and demonstrates that a security mindset can combine successfully with the correct training to prevent and contain incidents effectively.

Operations Director, Paul Williamson and Contracts Manager, Stuart Clark, proudly collected the national award on the company's behalf, with Paul commenting:

Croma Vigilant narrowly missed out on the award for "Event Team of the Year" for provision of security at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (an award for which the company has been nominated as a finalist for three years in a row).

Now in their eighteenth year, The Security & Fire Excellence Awards involve a gathering of 1,000 of the security industry's foremost practitioners at a major venue in recognition of the major contribution made by many companies and individuals to protecting life and property.

The 2016 awards ceremony took place at the London Hilton on Park Lane hotel on 23rd November.
