Sheffield Mutual Friendly Society Contract

Commercial Property Partners (CPP) has been awarded a contract to provide property and asset management services to a large portfolio of properties owned by Sheffield Mutual Friendly Society across the UK.

Leading property consultancy Commercial Property Partners (CPP) has been awarded a contract to provide property and asset management services to a large portfolio of properties owned by Sheffield Mutual Friendly Society and situated across the UK.

CPP's expert property and asset management team - headed up by Partner Matthew Fitzgerald - will now manage a total of approximately 45 income producing sites on behalf of the South Yorkshire-based business.

They will be responsible for overseeing all relevant inspections, reviewing lease terms and liaising with tenants; as well as ensuring that all of the sites - including buildings leased to tenants operating in sectors spanning retail, hospitality, and financial service - are operating in line with statutory compliance.

Partner and Head of Property & Asset Management at CPP, Matthew Fitzgerald, said: 'We are excited to be working shoulder to shoulder with Sheffield Mutual Friendly Society to manage all of their needs across the company's national property portfolio.

"With the myriad of sites housing tenants operating in such a broad spectrum of sectors, our expertise and national experience mean we are ideally placed to coordinate activity whilst ensuring that their individual needs and legal requirements are adhered to ongoing."

Established in 1892, Sheffield Mutual Friendly Society has just announced another strong business performance for 2016, which saw their assets break through the £100m milestone and an increase of 34% in premium income.

Jamie Bellamy, Finance Director from Sheffield Mutual friendly Society, said: "We are delighted to be in a position to award this contract to another Sheffield-based company, with CPP demonstrating throughout the tender process that it has the breadth and depth of expertise necessary to manage such a broad portfolio of income generating properties."

Earlier this year CPP announced the appointment of Matthew Willett, former Director at facilities management and construction firm Horsforth Contract Maintenance (HCM), who has more than a decade of experience of property refurbishments, fit-outs and ongoing maintenance of commercial properties.
