Multi-site Airbus FM Contract for STRABAG PFS

The agreement which is effective from today (1 October 2018), followed a Germany-wide call for bids.

STRABAG PFS has been awarded the contract for the lots of the northern German locations in Hamburg-Finkenwerder, Hamburg-Fuhlsbüttel and Buxtehude. The contract comprises the inspection, maintenance and repair of the technical building facilities (e.g. heating, ventilation, cooling, compressed air, and water/wastewater systems) and a 24-hour call-out service.

We are delighted to be able to get close to flagship products like the A321 and support smooth production processes for Airbus with this contract," says Dirk Brandt, head of Technical Facility Management at STRABAG PFS.

Five lots were tendered for northern Germany, including the Finkenwerder and Fuhlsbüttel locations. Together, these two locations cover approximately 470 hectares and include several halls, buildings, green areas, roads and a three-kilometre runway. In Finkenwerder, final assembly of the A320 family is carried out, among other work. The Airbus location in Buxtehude is responsible for the development, production and customer service of all electronic communication and cabin management systems for all Airbus planes.
