A chewing gum clean-up of streets in Haringey has proved a success following a successful bid for 27,500 of funding by the North London council earlier this year.
Residents and businesses who dump in Haringey could now face fines of up to 1000 as the council intensifies its efforts to combat waste dumping after calls from the community for tougher action.
