Upgrade to Paladin DesignBase
Power Analytics™ Releases New Version of Industry's Most Advanced Modeling Platform: Paladin DesignBase 5.0.
San Diego, Calif., Nov. 6, 2012 - Power Analytics Corporation, a leader in advanced electrical power software solutions, today released the fifth version of its Paladin software platform - Paladin® DesignBase™ 5.0. DesignBase 5.0 software provides "best in class" electrical system design, modeling and analysis for energy-intensive, mission-critical facilities and microgrids. This release adds a range of advanced functionality and benefits to meet the demands of today's power system engineers.
"We are excited to make our latest software available to our customers and advance critical analytics from the DesignBase platform," said Kevin Meagher, CTO for Power Analytics. "One of the unique new features with this release is unbalanced load flow, which is a power-based solution to model unbalanced system characteristics. Unbalanced load flow is particularly important due to increased penetration of distributed generation as well as the new types of generation being used across the board at all levels of the industry; and the increased interest in smart grids and microgrids."
In addition to unbalanced load flow, other new features and functions now available with DesignBase 5.0 include:
- New short circuit features and enhancements
- New spreadsheet implementation of text editor to allow copy/paste to MS Excel
- New features to allow the user to copy and paste single device data to multiple devices
- Extended PDC functionality to single-phase networks
- New libraries
- DesignBase University Program and research lab, which enables researchers to run DesignBase within their research environment. Paladin Design Lab, in concert with Paladin Design Base, can access network models and analytical tools such as power flow analysis, short circuit analysis, transient stability analysis, etc.
Trusted in the design and operation of some of the world's most mission-critical facilities, Paladin products currently protect more than $100 billion in customer assets including financial data centers, air traffic control sites, military installations, deep sea oil platforms, and power generation and distribution facilities.
