Managing Director of Support Services at Compass Group UK & Ireland, Steve Davies, becomes first Chair of the new company formed as a result of the merger of Asset Skills, the Cleaning and Support Services Association (CSSA) and the Facilities Management Association (FMA).
The enlarged organisation that has been formed as a result of the merger of the United Kingdom's Asset Skills, Cleaning and Support Services Association (CSSA) and Facilities Management Association (FMA) has announced that Managing Director of Support Services at Compass Group UK & Ireland, Steve Davies, has been voted Chair of the new company's board of directors following its first board meeting.
Davies will work closely with the board comprised of members from the previous boards of Asset Skills, CSSA and FMA. Christine Amyes, Executive Director of People at New Charter Housing Trust Group, and Malcolm Cannon, Chief Executive of Lomond Capital, have joined from Asset Skills.
Tony Clarke, Managing Director of Monthind, and Douglas Cooke, Chief Executive of Principle Cleaning Services, will accompany them and were previous members of the CSSA board. John Moriarty, FSI Managing Director, and Ian West, Commercial Director at Vinci, are the final board members and were members of the FMA board.

Richard Sykes, retiring Chairman of FMA Limited and Chairman of the merger steering group, added ."I am delighted that the merger has successfully been achieved and I now look forward to seeing the new Board take the joined associations forward in a positive manner. I wish Steve all the best in his new role as Chairman and hope other organisations now consider joining this new association so we can have a single combined voice for our fantastic industry."
