Grand Opening of new Econergy biomass boiler at BCA
Ceremony attended by Heathrow Airport, Natwest Bank, CLA, Farley Estates, Surrey County Council, and LC Energy.
Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for the Royal County of Berkshire, The Hon. Mrs. Bayliss JP, has inaugurated a new biomass boiler on the campus of BCA (Berkshire College of Agriculture).
Other guests attending the grand opening of the college's new Econergy biomass energy centre, included Heathrow Airport, Natwest Bank, CLA, Farley Estates, Surrey County Council and LC Energy.
The centre utilises other "green" technologies, including natural ventilation, rainwater harvesting, green roofing, and cedar cladding. The addition of a second biomass boiler will result in the college being almost 80 per cent energy self-sufficient and remove reliance on outdated, oil-fired heating systems.
