Renewable Energy Hub for East of England
Renewable energy provider Raggnar Power and Reeve Wood, the hardwood flooring manufacturer, today announced a new partnership to establish a renewable energy sales and service centre at King's Lynn in Norfolk.
Located at Reeve's factory on the Hardwick Trading Estate, the hub will provide customers across East Anglia, Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire with sales, design and ongoing engineering support for Raggnar's range of renewable energy systems.
Tom de Winton, Managing Director at Reeve Wood, will oversee activities in the region while the new venture is established. The partners plan to recruit business development specialists and up to 10 plumbers and heating engineers to support customers locally by the end of 2015.
Reeve has been operating from King's Lynn for more than 20 years and employs 18 people to support its flooring activities. It has reduced its heating bills by £5,000 and is generating an income worth £25,000 a year from the Government's Renewable Heat Incentive scheme since installing a Raggnar biomass system at its own factory in 2014.
Nigel Perkins, CEO of Raggnar Group, comments: "Demand for clean, localised power generation is booming as more and more communities and businesses wake up to its significant financial and environmental benefits. With its contacts, experience and ethos, Reeve is the ideal partner with which to establish customer service presence in the East of England."
Tom de Winton, Managing Director at Reeve Wood, comments: "As an existing Raggnar user we fully understand the process and benefits of investing in renewables from the customer perspective. With the backing of Raggnar's experience and highly efficient systems, we are very well placed to diversify into renewables and help many more people realise the benefits of doing so."
This new sales and service centre is part of a nationwide network of Raggnar Hubs being established across the UK to meet growing demand for renewable energy systems and provide users with specialist maintenance and after-sales support. Raggnar already operates Hubs in Aberdeenshire, Swindon and Broadstairs, and plans to open another five by the end of 2015.
