Axminster Tools and Machinery recently held a successful golf day which raised £3,021 for The Furniture Makers' Company charity.
The company's top clients attended and gave generously during an auction for tools and machinery from suppliers including Mirka, Lamello, Festool, Tormek, Toolbank and Numatic.
Sales Director Alan Styles described the occasion as "a fantastic day and a great way for us to support The Furniture Makers' Company", before adding: "the feedback we have had is encouraging and we hope to make this a bigger and better annual event."
Jonny Westbrooke, Clerk and Chief Executive of The Furniture Makers' said: "Axminster has been very generous with its support for our vision for a thriving furnishing industry, with a talented workforce delivering high quality products.
"The company is also the lead sponsor for our Young Furniture Makers exhibition on 15 October, which shows just how much it wants to invest in educating young talent for the future of our industry."
