Inauguration of Singapore's Annual "Mega" Event
The Architecture & Building Services 2016 Series (ABS Series) was launched this morning at the iconic Sands Expo & Convention Center at the Marina Bay Sands Singapore. The mega show which presents six of the leading architectural and building services shows and twelve key conferences for these industries was declared open by guest-of-honour, Mr Desmond Lee, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Home Affairs & Ministry of National Development, Deputy Leader of the House
The ABS 2016 Series is spearheaded by the ArchXpo 2016, co-organised by the Singapore Institute of Architects and Conference & Exhibition Management Services (CEMS). It is one of the key pillars of the Archifest series organised by SIA. The exhibition will be a key gathering of industry experts and talents that make for excellent architectural and built environment design, as well as an invaluable platform for the exchange of research and innovation in architectural design, practice and education
ArchXpo 2016, together with International Facility Management Expo 2016, LED+Light Asia 2016, Safety & Security Asia 2016, Fire & Disaster Asia 2016 and Work Safe Asia 2016, present a comprehensive and integrated platform for all building needs under one roof. The collaboration of six flagship exhibitions was conceptualized with the strategic purpose of creating an integrated premier sourcing platform for the architectural and building management industries. Awards and Accolades
One of the key attractions of The Architecture and Building Services 2016 series will be the booths created for the shows by the exhibitors. The show organisers will present the UP Awards to the best-looking show-stopper booths with the most flair and innovation.
A key highlight of the show is the presentation of the Merlion Awards 2016 which is the most prestigious award by the industry. The award honours outstanding innovations, designs and brands. Two more awards will be presented this year at the ABS 2016 series - Singapore Facility Management Awards 2016 and the SIA Architectural Designs Awards 2016
