By joining forces, Sulzer is now one of the world's leading manufacturers of axial loop reactor pumps for the polyethylene and polypropylene industries together with other specialized designs for challenging molten sulfur and sulfuric acid services. The new, combined portfolio and organization provide customers with a singular point of contact for an optimum technical and commercial approach to specifying pumps in the sector.
Sulzer has also purchased a majority stake in Rotec GT, a Moscow-based maintenance business focused on gas turbine maintenance. The new collaboration greatly enhances Sulzer's capabilities in Russia to serve end users in the power generation industry. The business offers refurbishment facilities for gas turbine components located in Moscow and Ekaterinburg, which will greatly enhance Sulzer's service coverage in the region.
