Transforming Teaching & Learning
Primary, post-primary and special educational needs schools in Northern Ireland are invited to apply for the awards, with this year's theme addressing 'Transforming Teaching & Learning through Technology'.
Established in 2015, the ICT Excellence Awards celebrate the innovative use of technology in schools across Northern Ireland and the positive impact this has on students' learning outcomes and teachers.
Over the past four years, entries have showcased how schools in Northern Ireland are using IT to enhance their learning environments.
The judges will be exploring how schools have transformed teaching and learning by the innovative use of ICT and how technology has improved the engagement and motivation of students and staff.
The winner in each classification will be awarded a value to spend in technology products from Capita's online catalogue, with schools awarded highly commended status across all classifications.
Capita and C2k are once again delighted to announce the launch of the ICT Excellence Awards. For the past four years the awards have given local schools the opportunity to exhibit their use of IT to enhance the educational environment. The awards present a fantastic opportunity for schools to share their achievements with the teaching community and celebrate the great work they're doing to develop the learning environment through the innovative use of ICT.Ed Brown

I am proud that Seaview Primary School won the ICT Excellence Awards in the primary school classification in 2017. This award was a real testament to the hard work from the team at Seaview. We strive to make learning more engaging and have embedded technology in every aspect of our curriculum and I would encourage every school in Northern Ireland to apply for the award and showcase the impact technology is making on their pupils' every day learning.

Registration for the awards is now open and entries must be submitted by Friday 9th March 2018. Finalists will be unveiled in June 2018, with winners being announced at the annual awards ceremony in October 2018.
