Celebrating 70 Years in Brazil
Since the first machine was imported from Switzerland in 1948, the company has continued to grow its businesses in the country and expanded a product range that began with small and mid-sized pumps for general industrial use to include large pumps for use by the oil and gas industries and in transporting water.
Sulzer's Brazilian operations also supply compressors and specialized services to operators of turbines and other critical rotating equipment - with the company even designing, manufacturing and exporting equipment globally, and providing maintenance services for third-party manufacturers.
All local service centers are equipped with precision machine tools and equipment for balancing and laser alignment.
Field service crews comprising engineers, supervisors and millwrights are also available round-the-clock to deliver on-site maintenance services to the country's major industrial markets including, oil and gas, water, wastewater, pulp and paper, mining, fertilizer, and power generation.
Sulzer Chemtech is one of the leading suppliers of process and separation technology to the global hydrocarbon and petrochemical markets and offers a comprehensive range of upstream and downstream solutions from its Brazilian office, which also operates the largest test bed in South America.
Flavio Romero, Director of Services for South America, says: "Today, Sulzer's operations in Brazil continue to grow and our pumps continue to help in the development of the country. From improving the supply of drinking water to boosting efficiency in the oil and gas market, Sulzer strives to deliver more reliable, more efficient and more sustainable solutions to the country."
Experts from the company will also be on hand to discuss the full range of products and services available at the Rio Oil and Gas show from September 24-27th, 2018.
