Contract caterer Blue Apple took the reins of the Association of Catering Excellence (ACE) Instagram account to raise awareness of The Brain Tumour Charity.
When the charity which funds research into brain tumours and provides support to sufferers and their families held a Great Bandana Bake! event on 21st March, Blue Apple staff provided photo content for the ACE Instagram channel by baking a selection of mouth-watering cakes.
Chef Manager Endang Gonzalez who oversaw his colleagues described the occasion as a fantastic day, before adding:
"We were very excited to be representing ACE at the same time as contributing to this amazing charity.
My team here absolutely love baking, and the quality and variety of the cakes and bakes was amazing.
I’m so proud that we managed to raise several hundred pounds, at the same time as putting lots of smiles on the faces of those that ate them."
Ruston Toms, Blue Apple Catering's founding director, added:
"Every year our efforts and involvement with The Brain Tumour Charity increase and I am justifiably proud of my teams for embracing this cause and really getting into the spirit of the occasion.
"From bakes to walks they enter into every initiative with enthusiasm and it was great to be able to follow the day on ACE’s Instagram as it unfolded."
