Southland Casino Racing, Delaware North's owner-operated gaming and hotel complex in West Memphis, Arkansas, has been recognised with a slew of awards for innovation and COVID security as it undergoes a US $250 million expansion.

Despite a delay to the extension project, gaming facility Betly Sportsbook has been relocated to a different part of the site and reopened with 26 new slot machines and an action-packed attraction called Cashman's Cove in September.

Southland accepted its third annual award in the casino category of the "Best of Memphis" awards from the Memphis Flyer during a drive-thru event on 30 October, adding to an toll that includes 21 awards from the Casino Player magazine's 2020 Best of Gaming Competition (including the award for "Best Casino in the Tunica and Surrounding Region").

David Wolf, general manager of Southland Casino Racing, comments: "We’re very excited to bring the only Cashman Cove area to the Mid-South.

"We’ve designed this exclusive area on the casino floor dedicated to some of the most popular slot games from Aristocrat’s Mr.

Cashman line, and our guests are delighted.

"These awards are a credit to our associates, who are dedicated to making Southland a top regional gaming destination and help our patrons have a great experience even as we work through the challenges of the pandemic."
