ABM Secures Cabin Cleaning Partnership with LATAM Airlines

ABM has been awarded a three-year cabin cleaning contract by LATAM Airlines, one of South America's largest carriers.

The partnership solidifies ABM's presence at London Heathrow Airport, where it now serves 27 airlines and cleans approximately eight million seats annually.

Under the contract, the facility services provider will clean around 150,000 seats each year as LATAM Airlines expands its activities in Europe following the recent addition of seven new routes and a reported 26.5 per cent increase in passenger numbers since June 2022.

ABM UK's footprint in the aviation sector is expanding, having recently doubled its cabin cleaning operations at Manchester Airport by reportedly increasing its workforce by 163 per cent.

Jim Niblock, the company's managing director for Aviation, expresses enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "We are delighted to be working directly with LATAM Airlines, building on an existing relationship, and a step closer to becoming one of the business' trusted long-term providers.

With cabin cleaning as one of our two core services, we have decades of sustainable service delivery experience and world-class expertise to bring to the partnership.

We look forward to delivering exceptional service to passengers travelling with LATAM Airlines.

A spokesperson for LATAM Airlines says the new partnership highlights the airline's commitment to providing passengers with the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and ensuring a safe and comfortable journey on flights out of Heathrow, the UK's busiest airport.
