Serco has completed accreditation from the White Ribbon Australia Program which encourages companies to introduce safer and more respectful workplaces, and work proactively to prevent violence against women.
White Ribbon Australia is part of a global social movement dedicated to eliminating gendered violence and promoting a society where all women and children are safe wherever they are—including in the workplace.
To date, the program has reached more than 600,000 Australian employees.

Facilitated by the community service organisation Communicare, the program embraces a whole-organisation commitment to address issues of gendered violence and sexual harassment against women, with participating companies assessed against 12 criteria and three separate standards.

In 2022, Serco established a Family and Domestic Abuse (FDA) Working Group whose focus is to develop initiatives for those requiring support for family and domestic abuse.
The White Ribbon accreditation stands as a key outcome of this group, aimed at ensuring our colleagues are equipped with the knowledge and resources to better understand what domestic abuse and sexual harassment is, how to identify it, and actions that can be taken to address and prevent it.
