The Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) has recognised EMCOR UK's ongoing commitment to the Armed Forces community with a Silver Award.
The award acknowledges the facility services provider's proactive support for reservists, veterans, Cadet Force Adult Volunteers, military spouses and partners, and the wider Armed Forces community.
It also reflects the business’s alignment with the Armed Forces Covenant and its efforts to embed defence-aligned values across its operations.
Supporting service leavers and their families
At the heart of EMCOR UK’s approach is its dedicated internal Armed Forces Network. 27 ex-service men and women, reservists, veterans and military family members meet regularly to share insights, provide peer support and steer company initiatives.
The company actively recruits former service personnel and recently made several key hires via its participation in British Forces Resettlement Services and Career Transition Partnership events.
These include mechanical and security roles on high-profile contracts such as the Department for Health and Social Care and defence sector accounts.

EMCOR UK is also engaging with the B Corp-certified social enterprise Recruit for Spouses, with a view to providing mentoring, hosting employability events, delivering green skills training, providing direct employability support via its resourcing team.
