Sodexo has appointed Alex Verjee as managing director of its universities business in the United Kingdom and Ireland with a remit to accelerate growth in the delivery of food, facilities management and student accommodation management services.
Verjee formerly served as partnerships director for Sodexo Schools & Universities, where her strong emphasis on student experience and a consumer-oriented approach to service delivery helped retain and extend contracts with universities and independent schools.
She initially joined Sodexo in 2011 working within the group's Health & Care business, where she developed catering and FM partnerships with NHS and private healthcare providers.
Since 2017, Verjee’s work has been within the university and independent school markets where she has built trusted partnerships and helped Sodexo deliver sustainable value for clients.
Alex is well-known and respected within the industry, having created strong client relationships which have helped drive the retention of contracts.
