ABM Targets Growth in UK Transport Sector with Appointment
ABM has appointed David Miles to the newly created position of Vice-President Operations - Transport, where he will support the integrated facilities services provider's expansion across the rail, maritime and bus sectors.
Miles who brings 19 years' sector experience to ABM's Transport & Aviation leadership team will report to Kelly Parish, VP Transport & Aviation. His experience leading large-scale transport operations at Mitie has given him deep expertise in delivering safe, compliant and high-performing services across complex, regulated environments. This expertise will support ABM's continued growth across critical transport infrastructure.
Parish says: "Our priority is simple: deliver exceptional service for our customers by truly understanding the passenger experience. We do this every day across 75 airports worldwide, supporting millions of journeys. David's appointment is key to taking that proven expertise and further applying it across the sector. His leadership will help to scale our operations, strengthen performance and bring the same industry leading standards of service to the wider transport industry."
The recent mobilisation of one of the UK's largest accessible travel contracts at London's Heathrow Airport demonstrates the team's ability to deliver complex services at scale. It also reflects ABM's wider Transport & Aviation strategy, centred on passenger experience, continuous improvement and technology-enabled delivery through platforms such as ABM Connect. David will now play a key role in mobilising a new flagship transport contract, building on this momentum and further strengthening ABM's operational leadership across transport environments.
David says: "ABM's leadership on passenger-first services opens the door to significant opportunities across the wider transport sector. Delivering high-quality solutions in some of the world's most complex airport environments provides a powerful platform for growth, and that's what attracted me to ABM. I'm excited to bring that operational expertise to new customers while strengthening performance for existing customers as the business continues to grow."
As a global leader in airport solutions, ABM's more than 14,000 aviation team members support millions of passengers annually, delivering fast, efficient, compassionate and welcoming experiences as part of its mission to make every journey seamless
