Sodexo has established a Medical Advisory Council to support the development of new health and safety protocols across its global organisation.
Council membership, who include globally renowned experts in epidemiology, family medicine, nutrition, occupational health and behavioural health, and pandemic planning and operations, will provide governance and leadership on "clinically-informed" approaches to safeguarding employees, clients and the public.
They will also support corporate engagement and evaluate new ways of working on a continuous basis - encouraging "safe" behaviour in line with local practices and regulations.
The Council's founding appointees include Dr John Boyce, a renowned specialist in infection control and epidemiology who was formerly Director of Hospital Epidemiology & Infection Control at Yale-New Haven Hospital, and Director of Infection Control at the Hospital of Saint Raphael in Connecticut; and Dr Helen Stellmacher, an expert in general practice with an emphasis on continuity of care and palliative care, and Member of the United Kingdom's Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP), as well as the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (RCoG).
