Johnson Controls has introduced a suite of contactless solutions to help facilities managers meet social distancing and hygiene requirements during Covid-19 reopening.
The company's solutions are designed to limit the spread of the new coronavirus in a range of facilities, and help keep building occupants safe.
These solutions fall into three categories: contactless entry and exit, body thermal detection, and capacity control.
Contactless entry and exit
Why? To protect staff, visitors, and operations by eliminating physical contact like access cards and lanyards, and making entrances and exits more hygienic
What? A suite of solutions to reduce physical contact and improve hygiene:
Body thermal detection
Why? To be the first line of defence for building and security managers to assess if anyone entering the building may have symptoms of COVID-19
What? Body thermal detection cameras, which can be integrated with existing CCTV systems, use facial recognition to flag anyone with a raised temperature to security teams, who can then take the appropriate action.
The solution is scalable for discreet monitoring on a one-on-one basis, or to scan up to 40 people at once
Capacity control
Why? To manage the number of people on site and adhere to social distancing
What? Video analytics technology within existing or standalone CCTV cameras, which count people in and out of a building, using alarms or alerts to let managers know when the maximum capacity has been reached.
Data is stored anonymously and provides for more accurate auditing and reporting purposes.
Business managers can also make better use of their resources by utilising security guards and employees for other business critical activities
