Saxbys Cafe Debuts at Pennsylvania Convention Center

Aramark, Saxbys, and the Pennsylvania Convention Center have celebrated the grand opening of a new cafe located on the exhibit hall level as part of a strategy to enhance the venue's food and beverage offerings.

Saxbys, a Certified B Corporation which is headquartered in the state, witill bring its popular local offering to conference-goers from across the country and around the world, making the center the comany's first location to open in a convention center.

The corporation, which operates 25 cafes in seven states, describes itself as more than 'just a coffee company' and emphasizes how integral education is to its core values. In particular, it highlights 'The Saxbys Experiential Learning Platform' (or E.L.P.) which serves as student-run businesses that even allows its Student CEO to earn academic credits, a salary, and a bonuses whilst contributing fully to its business operations. The Saxbys E.L.P. network includes partner locations at Penn State University, The University of Pittsburgh, Drexel University, Bowie State University, and other esteemed institutions.

Liz Noe, Vice President of Operations at Aramark Sports + Entertainment, says investing in the Saxbys cafe is part of a significant investment by Aramark to enhance the food and beverage options at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

Together with the convention center, Aramark aims to enhance the overall experience for meeting planners and attendees.

Aramark has also unveiled plans to open six new exhibit hall concession stands in Fall 2023.

The stands will feature digital signage and menu boards, allowing for customized menus based on the event.

Aramark will also introduce four new portable concession kiosks, offering meeting planners the flexibility to personalize culinary options.
