Amulet Joins Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter

Security provider Amulet has taken a step towards promoting best employment practices by joining the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter, a voluntary initiative to cultivate a culture of fairness, inclusivity, and equitable compensation in workplaces across the Greater Manchester region.

Amulet is one of 22 new Supporters who have recently joined the Charter, which boasts a diverse membership from various sectors, including private, public, and third sectors.

The collective effort operates on a tiered structure, uniting Supporters and Members alike, all committed to upholding seven fundamental principles of Good Employment.

These principles encompass crucial aspects of current employment practice, including job security, adherence to the 'Real Living Wage', and provision of wellbeing support.

Tracey Cheung, the company's Head of HR, comments: "Attending one of the Charter's events has already provided us with valuable insights into how Amulet can tailor its recruitment practices to better meet employee needs.

We see the Charter as an invaluable resource for advancing the cause of Good Employment.

Kieran Mackie, managing director, adds: "Our people are at the core of Amulet's mission.

Supporting the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter is essential for us.

We aim to make Amulet an employer of choice and contribute to making the security industry an attractive career option for the next generation.

Aligning ourselves with this Charter is a significant step in that direction."

The decision to join the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter reflects a broader trend within the security industry towards promoting fair and equitable employment practices and ensuring the workforce of the future enjoys a supportive work environment.
